Submit an Abstract

The organizing committee is seeking submissions on the following list of topics, with the content based on innovation, new methods, lessons learned, or optimizations.
    • Uranium leaching, solvent extraction, precipitation, dewatering and drying, and calcination.
    • Potash separation, flotation, evaporation and crystallization, dewatering and drying, glazing, compaction, and screening.
    • Lithium separation, flotation, evaporation and crystallization, leaching, precipitation, and dewatering and drying.
    • Improvements in automation and safety, methodology, or control.
    • Tailings & waste rock management, decommissioning, and remediation & long-term monitoring.
We encourage all submissions to be operation-focused, either by/about operating sites or including case studies/test work.
Papers are not mandatory but are encouraged. Authors will be asked to declare their intention once abstract approval notifications are sent so that the volunteer committee may begin the process for the paper review.

Abstract Guidelines

Submit online

All abstracts, including invited speakers, must be submitted electronically through the submission form.

Language

All abstracts must be written in English.

Word-count

Abstracts must not exceed 500 words. Do not include author information, citations, or references in the abstract.

Abstract limit

A lead author/presenter may submit up to 2 abstracts.

Presentation types

*Note: If you are a professor and wish for your student to present the work, consider submitting it as a student presentation. Failure to do so will require the student to pay the regular registration price.

Presentation Guidelines

No laptop hookups are permitted for security reasons
• Presenters must bring their presentation on a USB stick 10 minutes prior to the session start time (during the break).
• All presentations must be in PowerPoint format size 16:9 aspect ratio. If your presentation is created on Keynote (Mac/Apple), you MUST transfer it as a PowerPoint version.
• To ensure the smooth running of your presentation, avoid using videos and / or animations in your PowerPoint presentations. If you include video in your PowerPoint, please save the video in a separate file on your USB key as well.
• Each room will have the following:
  • screen, projector, laptop, wireless remote to advance slides, laser pointer, podium microphone with small sound system
• Laptops will be installed on a separate head table, next to the presentation podium.
• Laptop specs (Windows 10, PowerPoint latest, Adobe Acrobat Reader).
Internet access is NOT available on the presentation computers, you will therefore NOT be able to access websites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, Prezi during your presentation

Deadlines

All authors must comply with the deadlines listed on this website.

Presentation

All accepted authors are expected to present in Saskatoon and will be asked to record their PowerPoint presentations on video for the conference before the on-site event.

Payment of fees by the deadline

Payment of fees by the deadline: There is no fee to submit an abstract. However, we count on your professionalism to pay your registration fee by July 8, 2025, if your abstract is accepted. Failure to pay by the stipulated deadline may result in the removal of your oral or poster from the program. Presenters of multiple presentations need only to register once.
